constitute.

Concepts

The person ratifies; the AI drafts. Constitute is a context-engineering product, not a fine-tuning one: your Constitution is retrieved into whatever model you bring, at the moment it drafts.

TermMeaning
DraftSomething the AI wrote that awaits your decision.
RatifyApprove a draft as written. It enters the publishing queue.
VetoReject a draft, ideally with a reason.
EditRewrite a draft before ratifying it.
AmendmentA proposed change to the Constitution, generated from a reasoned veto, an edit or a Session answer.
Accept / RejectThe explicit human act that writes, or declines to write, an amendment into your corpus. Accepting applies it, versioned and reversible.
ArticleOne entry in the Source Corpus (a position, voice rule, boundary, workflow, story or writing sample), numbered ART-n.
Source CorpusThe Notion database of all your Articles.
ConstitutionThe accepted, active whole: the Preamble plus every active Article.
PreambleA one-page summary of who you are, drafted at the end of the Convention and ratified by you.
Constitutional ConventionThe onboarding interview: 50 questions in five sections.
SessionThe weekly check-in: about five questions on stale, predicted or contested Articles.
Confirm / Sharpen / ContestThe verdicts on a Session question. Contest is deliberately not the same word as veto.
The RecordThe append-only log of every decision.
DelegateAny AI agent or LLM acting through Constitute's API or MCP.

Draft, Ratified, Queued, Posted, Vetoed. Nothing reaches a publishing engine without passing through Ratified.
